Wildlife: Mid to late summer nectar for bumblebees, and beetles. Seeds for birds.

Flowers: July to October

Decorative merit: Star-like, daisy flowers in the rare colour blue for native plants (like meadow cranesbill). Numerous flowers on upright, branching, woody stems. Flowers open on sunny mornings and close in the afternoon (similar to ‘weather vane’ flowers like scarlet pimpernel). Blends well with musk mallow.

Where: Full sun and free draining soil. Drought-tolerant. Try in a south-facing border, planter or patch, mini meadow (plant in autumn) or gravel/dry garden.
